Do you believe you are fearfully and wonderfully made? Do you acknowledge the intricate details that our good God put into you? Can you even fully comprehend the inner workings of your body, soul, and spirit?
You possess something invaluable in you that will add to the intricate fabric of God’s divine plan? Your life is not a mere coincidence; it is an essential part within the unfolding masterpiece of God’s plan for this generation. You have been brought into the earth for a purpose that aligns with the present time. Your distinct contribution is essential for humanity in this era.
Throughout history, there have been pioneering individuals who dared to explore the immensity of their God-given gifts, talents, and abilities, leaving an enduring impact on humanity. Take inspiration from two biblical figures mentioned below whom God used to accomplish his plans.
Noah – (Genesis Chapters 5-9)
For 120 years prior to the flood, Noah and his sons constructed a massive ark. The ark was a quarter of the height and half of the length of the Titanic. Even more remarkable, Noah built it by faith in God. Up until then, mankind had no experience with rain or even great floods, let alone with massive ship building. God had a plan and He used Noah and his family to preserve life on earth. (You can read the story of Noah in the bible)
Easter – (Book of Esther)
Esther as a girl was exiled and an orphan who was living with a relative, Mordecai. She was “taken” to the King’s palace. I say taken because it was a command from their King.
When Mordecai learned of Haman’s plot to annihilate all of the Jewish people, he told Esther to beg for mercy before the king. Unfortunately, anyone who approached the king without first being summoned was killed unless the king was in the mood to extend his sceptre and spare their life. What Mordecai was asking her to do could have easily been the last thing she ever did – her execution! Well, we know how the story goes. She saved the Jew’s and her heroism is celebrated to date by both Christians and the Jews.
Esther survived her fair share of hardships in life, but when called upon to solve a problem, she chose to stand for her people (to the point of being willing to die), and God used her in a powerful way to deliver the Jewish people from annihilation.
There are many more characters in the bible whose stories would serve as a revelation that would motivate you to actively ponder about your life. Your journey, struggles, disabilities, hardships, could be what God wants to use in the present time. You are very important to God, and your contribution is immeasurable. Let’s walk this journey together and thank you for your time. May God point you in the right direction.
God chose a woman who had everything taken from her; parents and her freedom and put her in a position of power. He used someone who, due to gender, culture, and circumstance, was invisible and uninfluential and made her the pivotal, formidable heroine we read and talk about today.
